Cole seeks re-election as county clerk

Cole is a certified public administrator from the University of Tennessee and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Local Government Leadership Program.
He was president of the County Clerks Association for the state of Tennessee, and he was chosen as County Clerk of the Year by all county clerks in the state in 2015.
The county clerk’s office is responsible for waiting on more than 120,000 customers a year.
The office receives more than $10 million annually, and offers more than 15 different services to the citizens of Anderson County.
“I’m not just offering services — I’m building relationships with our citizens in Anderson County,” Cole said in a news release. “Our office is here to serve, and we’ve worked hard to bring that commitment to life through greater access, convenience and efficiency.”
Under Cole’s leadership, the clerk’s office has seen several key improvements aimed at making services more available and user-friendly for Anderson County residents:
n A new vehicle-decal renewal kiosk in Clinton.
n A full-service driver-license station in the Norris/Andersonville office.
n And expanded passport services.
Cole emphasized that his focus remains on accessibility, efficiency and providing courteous, personal service.
His record reflects a strong commitment to modernizing county services while maintaining the hometown values that matter most to the community.
Cole is a graduate of Carson-Newman College in 1991. He is a member of Second Baptist Church, where he is a Sunday School teacher and works on many projects throughout the church.
He is an active community volunteer, serving on boards and committees across Anderson County, including the Anderson County Chamber, Anderson County Civitan Club and Clinton Rotary Club.
“It has been a pleasure to work with our citizens to make sure that their needs are getting met,” he said in the release. “I will continue to use my experience to make sure that the county clerk’s services are working for our citizens.”
Cole is a lifelong resident of Anderson County and has been married to Carol Rose Cole for the past 27 years. They have one son, Dallas Aaron Cole, and reside in Clinton.
