Cars for Canines to be held Saturday
The sixth-annual Cars for Canines event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Melton Lake Park, 697 Melton Lake Drive, Oak Ridge.
People may enjoy a car show presented by Summer Knight Cruisers, along with live music, door prizes and pet-friendly fun.
Grab a bite or a brew from Hot Dog Hut, Hops and Hounds, Shirley Boys Country Cooking, and Sno Biz.
Veterinarian Matt Jinks will be on site to microchip pets and provide rabies shots. The event includes free face painting for all the kids.
All proceeds will go to the Friends of Oak Ridge Animal Shelter and Anderson County Humane Society, which will be present with furry friends who need homes, a Facebook post stated.
