St. Mark UMC to host annual Fun Fest on Sept. 27
The annual rummage sale, auction and Fun Fest at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Clinton will be held next weekend, beginning with the rummage sale on Friday, Sept. 26.
The rummage sale, held in the church Fellowship Hall, will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday (Sept. 26-27).
On Saturday, the Fun Fest, with special activities for everyone, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., also in the Fellowship Hall.
It will be followed at 1 p.m. Saturday by the annual auction of gift baskets, which contain a wide variety of new items.
The auction will take place in the church annex
“A lot of people do their Christmas shopping there,” said Cindy McGhee, outreach coordinator for the church.
All proceeds from the two days of events will go to the church’s outreach and missions programs, McGhee said.
“Some will go to our food pantry and blessing box. We took 11 kids shopping for back to school.
“We do mission work in Mexico, and some of the money goes to orphanages.
“We’ve been doing this Fun Fest for 28 years, and the auction for 20 years,” she added.
St. Mark United Methodist Church is at 252 N. Main St. in Clinton.
The church has plenty of parking available in its lot behind the church, with access off of East Church Street or North Hicks Street.
