Oak Ridge High School’s volleyball team came away with mixed results in a pair of District 3-AAA matches last week.

The Lady Wildcats closed out the week with a five-set victory over Anderson County at Wildcat Arena.

After dropping the first two sets, Oak Ridge stormed back to complete the regular-season sweep of the Lady Mavericks with a 19-25, 15-25, 27-25, 25-10, 15-11 win.

“We played well,” Oak Ridge Coach Meghan Ellis said. “Our two middle blockers were great and we played great defense.”

Earlier in the week, Oak Ridge fell in another five-set match at Clinton. The Lady Wildcats dropped a 20-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 15-13 decision to the Lady Dragons on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
