Eagles grounded in 26-6 setback against Spring City

Jefferson Middle School’s football team dropped its second game of the season last week.

The Eagles (4-2 overall, 3-2 in the Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference) fell 26-6 to Spring City on Thursday night.

Quarterback Easton Knipp scored Jefferson’s lone touchdown on a run. He also completed 8 of 17 passes for 111 yards through the air.

The Eagles were limited to just 27 rushing yards in the contest.

On defense, Nic Fletcher posted 14 tackles, including one for a loss, while Brandon Zamora added 10 stops and two tackles for loss.
