St. Mark Church Fun Fest, auction will be held Saturday

The rummage sale, held in the church Fellowship Hall, will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, to be followed by the Fun Fest, with activities for children included, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, also in the Fellowship Hall.
At 1 p.m. Saturday there will be an auction of gift baskets, which contain a wide variety of new items, in the church annex.
“A lot of people do their Christmas shopping there,” said Cindy McGhee, outreach coordinator for the church.
All proceeds from the two days of events will go to the church’s outreach and missions programs, McGhee said. “Some will go to our food pantry and blessing box. We took 11 kids shopping for back to school. We do mission work in Mexico, and some of the money goes to orphanages.
“We’ve been doing this Fun Fest for 28 years, and the auction for 20 years,” she added. “We’re a little church, but we have a big heart.”
St. Mark United Methodist Church is at 252 N. Main St. in Clinton. The church has plenty of parking available in its lot behind the church.
