The following events, held in Oak Ridge are affiliated with the American Museum of Science and Energy.



Bird Walk

Smithsonian Affiliates Citizen Scientist monthly bird walk will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at UT Arboretum: 901 S Illinois Ave, Oak Ridge. Participants must RSVP at utas.simpletix.com/.

The group is accepting donations for the program including binoculars, hiking poles and bird identification guides.



Science of Winter

Join on Jan. 24 from noon to 3 p.m. for a winter themed science activity with demonstrations and hands-on classroom activities suitable for grades Kindergarten through fifth.

The event will be at the American Museum of Science and Energy at 115 E Main St.

 This event is free with regular admission. However, the Storm Glass-Fitzroy Thermometer take-home kit requires registration and an additional $10 fee for materials. Supplies are limited.
