Access Medical takes over Tanner Lane site
An Arkansas-based company, Access Medical Clinic, has taken over operation of the former Neighborhood Urgent Care clinic at 120 Tanner Lane, near the Clinton Walmart.
Employees at the clinic said Monday that the new owner reopened the facility about two weeks ago, after the previous LaFollette-based operator had closed the location in early December.
Medical Assistant Jesse Roberts and receptionist Riley Quintois said they were glad to get jobs with the new owners after losing their positions when the previous owner closed the business.
Neighborhood Urgent Care, which they said was owned by Matthew Myers, was closed abruptly without giving workers notice, and employees had posted on Facebook that they had not been paid some time leading up to the closing.
“We were glad to be able to find jobs with the new owners,” Roberts said.
Neighborhood Urgent Care also had a location at 2702 Jacksboro Pike in Jacksboro, and that center also has been taken over by Access Medical Clinic, according to the Clinton employees and the Access Medical website.
Access Medical Clinic offers urgent and primary-care services at both locations, the employees said.
Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The clinic is closed on Saturdays.
