Lunch for Literacy ticket deadline is Saturday

Kristy Woodson Harvey, a New York Times bestselling author of 13 books, including the popular Peachtree Bluff series, will be the featured speaker. Each ticket includes admission to the event, lunch catered by Fire and Salt, an opportunity to purchase books, a personal autograph and remarks from a dynamic speaker.
All proceeds are returned to the communities of Anderson and Roane counties through vetted grants. The goal is to support programs aimed at improving reading skills, with special attention to at-risk readers of all ages.
Lunch for Literacy is a joint effort of the Oak Ridge Rotary Breakfast Club and Altrusa of Oak Ridge. The two service clubs have organized the luncheon for 34 years.
Attendees are invited to join the event, reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
