The Anderson County Civitan Club awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Cora Green, a senior at Oak Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Laura Green and the late Jeffrey Green. Cora plans to attend Roane State Community College in the fall, where she intends to pursue a degree in TAP (Teaching as a Profession) or radiation therapy. The Civitan Club awards a $1,000 scholarship to one student from each area high school — ACHS, CHS and ORHS — who plans to pursue a career serving individuals with intellectual disabilities.
