Clinton High School student and Anderson County Schools Student Board Member Brooklin Wilkerson announced the construction’s completion at the board’s April 9 meeting.
“Every student in the building is so excited to have finally got the new building ready and for getting the opportunity to experience it next school year,” she said.
Anderson County Director of School Tim Parrott said the building will support welding and two agriculture classes.
He estimated the building’s cost had been about $2.5 million.

Parrot gave updates at the same meeting about other projects.

• The new softball locker room at Clinton High School is complete.
• Excavation and site proofing is complete for a new sports building for Anderson County High School.
• Lake City Elementary School has a new entrance to the school nurse’s station, which Parrott said was safer.
