Johnson reappointed to Library Board

The Anderson County Commission voted June 15 to reappoint Powell resident Charlotte Johnson to the county Library Board.

Johnson was selected over two other applicants, Sue Lasky and Catherine Scarbrough, for the board’s one open seat.

All three addressed commissioners before the vote.

Commission Chairwoman Denise Palmer thanked the applicants and encouraged those who were not selected to remain involved.

“We don’t have enough volunteers, so keep an eye out and continue to volunteer for these committees and boards, all right?” Palmer said.
