Oak Ridge posts August pool hours
The city of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks Department has announced updated operating hours for the Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool as the summer season comes to a close.
Effective Monday, July 27, the pool will be closed on Mondays for the rest of the season July 27, Aug. 3, and Aug. 10.
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 11, the pool will transition to evening-only hours from 3:30 to 7 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 14, due to local schools resuming classes and seasonal staffing changes.
With the August schedule changes, the pool will continue regular operations with several special events:
Open Late-Night Swim – Wednesday, July 29, from 3:30 to 9 p.m.
Senior Citizen Day – Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last Late-Night Swim – Wednesday, Aug. 5, with open swim from 3:30 to 9 p.m.
The final day of the regular outdoor pool season will be Friday, Aug. 14. The season will conclude with the annual Puppy Pool Party on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dogs must provide proof of current vaccinations to participate, and attendees are encouraged to review event rules before arriving.
