Lady Dragons look to regain footing with Orr at the helm

Anna Orr is the Lady Dragons’ third head coach in three years.
She was hired recently and is still getting acquainted with her new team, but she said she is eagerly anticipating her first season on the sideline at CHS.
“Honestly, in our most-recent summer sessions, we’re looking pretty good and I’m excited,” Orr said. “I think we have more to work with than I expected.”
Clinton went 3-6-1 last season and didn’t win a regular-season district match, but Orr isn’t discouraged as preseason workouts continue.
“The goal is always to win games, and I wouldn’t count us out just yet,” she said. “I think we have a strong midfield and we can control the tempo, and I think we have a mature defensive line as well.”
Top returners for the Lady Dragons include Topanga Easterday, a senior midfielder and three-sport athlete who also plays basketball and softball for Clinton; Isabella Geoffrin, a senior goalkeeper; and Emoree White, a senior midfielder.
Freshman midfielder Myla Queener will also join the fray for the Lady Dragons in 2026.
Clinton’s strengths should be in the midfield and along the back line, according to Orr, who inherits a side that reached the Region 2-AA tournament for the first time in school history in 2024 before enduring a rebuilding campaign under Coach Sylvain David last season.
Orr said continued improvement will be key as the Lady Dragons work toward their season opener.
“We need to work on skill-building across the board, and making sure that we’re comfortable on the ball,” she said.
The Lady Dragons will open their 2026 season when they host Harriman on Aug. 18. Kickoff between Clinton and the Lady Devils is slated for 7 p.m.
