Clinton 12 Day
Clinton 12 Day will be Saturday, Aug. 29, at Green McAdoo Center from 6 until 8 p.m.
It will feature live music from Evelyn Jack and the Band in celebration of the 70th anniversary of desegregation of Clinton City Schools in 1956.
Green McAdoo Center is at 101 School S. in Clinton.
It is at the site of the former segregated Green McAdoo School, and tells the story of the Clinton 12.
Fermentation: Free workshop
First Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge invites residents to learn at a free, hands-on fermentation workshop on Saturday, Sept, 12, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The workshop will introduce participants to the basics of fermentation while giving them a chance to make several popular fermented foods themselves.
