Claxton STEAM night marks end of an era
Claxton Elementary School’s family STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) night will be on Thursday Oct. 1 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Claxton Elementary School.
Student Science Fair winners will receive awards at 7 p.m. but before then visitors can enjoy a variety of interactive, family-friendly stations, including adding to the Claxton Time Capsule, traveling through time with our virtual reality headsets, racing a friend to the Moon, and learning from some special guests, including Oak Ridge Associated Universities Oak Ridge National Laboratory, American Museum of Science and Energy and more.
This will be the last Claxton STEAM night at the current school location before the students move to a new school building currently under construction.
